The most famous coca cola advertisment

The most famous advertisment for coca cola is the one that is shown at christmas time.

colasanta.jpgDSCF0009.JPG

^^^ This is the most recent christmas coca cola commercial. It shows of Santa Clause gving a girl a bottle of coke then her and her daughter the next year and so on. The famoustune is played in the background, "holidays are coming", which plays a huge role in thousands of childhood christmas memories. This advertisment not only shows christmas through the years but adds to the christmas cheer and the idea of giving. Coca Cola has done this well bringing in a moral issue to their campaign. Although this advert appears to be aimed at children it also has a warm christmas feeling to add to the adults hectic stress.

*Coca cola has had great developments in advertising throughout the years. From 1929- 2009 there has been changes in the cans, bottles and the posters and television campaigns. This from left to right is some of the posters used in the early days of coca cola to the most recent slogan being shown on the exploding bottle of Coke.

SANTA CLAUS AND HIS RELATION WITH COCA COLA

2006 marked the 75th anniversary of the famous Coca-Cola Santa Claus. Starting in 1931 thecmagazine ads for Coca-Cola featured Santa as a kind, jolly man in a red suit. Because magazines were so widely viewed, and because this image of Santa appeared for more than three decades, the image of Santa most people have today is largely based on the advertisingof coke-cola. The campaign was first televised on "American Idol" on the FOX network. Print and outdoor advertising was also used in the campaign.

*Did you know?*

*It's a common misconception that Santa wears a red coat because red is the color of Coca-Cola. In fact, Santa appeared in a red coat before artist Haddon Sundblom painted him for Coca-Cola advertising*

Coca Cola Adverts

Coca Cola in general has adverts that appeal to a younger audience. With adverts such as in a vending machine and the "holidays are coming" children see this as a fantasy land and want to be part of it. Coca cola also appeals to the older generation through the chances to win prizes just by buying some juice. There are codes placed on the wrapper, underside of cans and bottle tops. These you enter into the "coke zone" part of the coca cola website to find out what you have won. The coca cola company always advertises the good side of cola but never seems to show how it makes your teeth rot and rips the lining from your stomach. After all advertisments are made to promote products not to put people off.

In this poster it shows colour in the background contrasting with duffy whoi is in black and white. There are two slogan type phrases here "I'm no super woman" and "hello you"The ad stars Duffy alongside other strong, confident young women who are taking a stand against the pressures of modern life. The 60-second ‘diet Coke' spot shows the Grammy award winner coming off stage after a sell-out gig as the crowd calls for an encore. But before delivering the finale, she spots a bike propped up backstage and, in a moment of cheeky rebellion, cycles off before returning to perform the closing song.
The new campaign for ‘diet Coke' shows the three times Grammy nominated singer - best known for her international number one hit Mercy and 4.5 million selling album Rockferry - acting in one of a series of 30 and 60-second spots in her first ever high profile appearance in a TV advertisement.

Coca cola in 1929 used coupons that were purchased with coke so that you could win a free "fountain" of Coca Cola. From then till now the prize has become more large scale.
